It’s Baseball Season!

07 Apr

Okay, so I’ve been waiting since November for opening day.  November, people.

I do like football but I’m a baseball fan at heart.  Every since I was a kid and I’m sure that will never change.  I hope not.

While a great deal of the world (or at least in this part of it) watched Duke beat somebody Wisconsin, I was watching the Cleveland Indians get defeated by the Milwaukee Brewers by a score of 2-0.  I wasn’t shocked, the Indians rarely win anymore but they’re the team I stick with.  They held their own for most of the game until the opposing team scored and it just didn’t happen from there on.

There’s always the next game.

So, congratulations to the Blue Devils on their championship win but now that pesky college basketball thingy is over, I can sit back, relax with a cup of coffee or a cold Pepsi and enjoy America’s real sport as the announcer announces, “…here’s the pitch, swing and a miss and the count goes to 2 and 2…”

I love Baseball, not quite as much as basketball, but far more than football! 😀

I haven’t been following the Dash but am planning on going to a few games this year. The stadium is a couple miles from work on my way home. The Cleveland franchise team is playing 5/29 — I’ll go and sit on the visiting side and wear my Chief Waahoo ballcap. 😀
